"Nature is painting for us, day after day, pictures of infinite beauty — if only we have the eyes to see them."
— John Ruskin

Susan Detering is an artist who finds inspiration in nature. Her landscapes are based in observation. Painting mostly "en plein-air" or out-of-doors, she finds inspiration everywhere.

Hailing from the East coast, she presently lives in northern Arizona working as a whitewater guide in Grand Canyon. Susan is learning a new landscape and experimenting with new mediums.
